Social naturism for all

The Singles' Outdoor Club was formed in 1981 to enable single individuals to become members of the naturist movement. At that time it was very difficult for single folk, especially single men, to join an established club and many still have strict limits on the number of single members. This may be your primary reason for joining us. From the time we were formed SOC has been a member of the national naturist organisation British Naturism, and we are a well known and respected club.

Though we have no land of our own, we do not consider ourselves to be a second best choice - we offer a wider variety of naturist activities than most other clubs - and many of our members have chosen to join us even though they also belong to local clubs. We have no age limits, nor is membership restricted to singles; couples are always welcome to join us too.

Our members live in all parts of the U.K., so activities are spread over the whole country which is divided into ten areas each with an Area Organiser. It is his or her duty to arrange events in that area and to act as a contact point for local members. Many clubs with their own land invite us to visit them for a weekend during the summer and we also organise holidays, swims, walks, beach visits and so on. The clubs we visit make us very welcome and we have many friends among their members. They rarely have accommodation to offer other than a field in which to camp, so most members bring their own tents. Food, showers, toilet facilities, games courts and a sauna or swimming pool are often available on site. If you don't like camping, you could always come on a day visit with us.

You may be interested in naturist walking - Yes.. it is possible to walk in the countryside without clothes - and it is not illegal to do so! We have a full programme of mid-week walks, and basic details are given on our page ' Walks '

In the winter there are many swims and saunas to choose from and there is usually one not too far from home. Members are welcome to all our events whether near or far, and many of us travel quite long distances to visit a favourite club or to take part in some activity.

We publish a newsletter six times a year which contains club news and details of visits and which is sent to all members.
So that members can find out which other members live near them and what their interests are, we have a contact list, which is sent only to members who are on it - so you can choose whether or not you would like other members to communicate with you.

You will find it easy to relax in our company; we are a fun loving, easy going lot, and you can join us without any fear of embarrassment.
